Tic-Tac Dough is being revived with Tom Bergeron? What a surprise because since the 1990 failed revival with Patrick Wayne Tic-Tac Dough has never been on TV since the original version with Wink Martindale aired in the 70's. I wonder if this version is a hit I bet a lot of fans will watch it and I bet we will see a big winner like original Tic-Tac Dough champion Thom McKee. But I can guess that they will revive the classic bonus round where the contestant had to find the words Tic Tac and a dragon and if he/she found all three he/she won. But mostly they will use a computerized dragon for this round. But having Tom Bergeron return as a Comeback Kid to game shows might be just what the doctor ordered for this show

The 1990 version of Tic Tac Dough flopped since Patrick Wayne was totally awful as a game show host and it was gone in 13 weeks. Hopefully this version with Tom Bergeron taking over the hosting duties, the show could regain viewers who tuned in to the successful Wink Martindale incarnation that was often paired with The Joker's Wild in syndication.

I should also add that prospective contestants took the same test for both shows. Higher scores were considered for Tic Tac Dough and average scores The Joker's Wild.

That’s interesting. I wonder what it would it look like in HD especially this board:

I had forgotten about Tom Bergeron possibly hosting Tic Tac Dough. Universal must have shut this down.
