When Raven Symone first debuted on The Cosby Show as Olivia Kendall in 1989 Raven became the apple of everyone's eye and soon was headed to superstardom. But why I think Disney gave her That's So Raven was that Raven Symone could make a successful TV comeback and become a star again. Because after her success on The Cosby Show she did rap albums and appeared in Hanging With Mr. Cooper many people thought Raven's career would be over. So because of That's So Raven Raven Symone was back on top and she became Disney Channel's successful star and by having merchandise such as That's So Raven soundtrack albums dolls clothing video games and much more Disney knew that Raven was the star that could make them millions. And when That's So Raven ended it's run Raven was a huge star and I remember many moons ago reading that Disney Channel wanted her to do That's So Raven Too but she declined. But when Raven's Home debuted Raven Symone proved that she still had her sitcom skills but when newcomers Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus debuted at Disney Raven was forgotten about but still was a mega star for Disney Channel
