Bumping again...

There are a few pics of Estelle about a year ago...

She doesn't look like her old self. It's a sad thing...

I used to receive updates from Estelle's friend (and webmaster) Brian Hamilton, quite often, about 18 months ago. He also e-mailed all GG site webmasters to inform them about the sad development of Estelle's condition deteriorating and that she was moving into a condo and wasn't going to reply to any mail sent to her. For a while we all put that information onto our sites. But, it's been about 18 months since anyone has heard from Brian re Estelle's condition. I see he's updated the website, especially the merchandise part, so at least he's still keeping that going which is good.

Do you have any way of contacting him, Sam? I don't want to put a nose where it doesn't belong, but I really wish we all knew more.

My grandfather had Parkinson's for several years, and it's a muscular problem moreso than brain. I'm wondering how her mind is going with all of it.

I e-mailed Brian about a year or so ago, asking for an update on Estelle and I never received a reply. At the time I just assumed he was no longer working on/updating Estelle's website but not so long ago I noticed an update and thought it was quite odd that he didn't reply, as he was usually very good for keeping in touch and letting us know how Estelle was doing. He's also a member of my GG Yahoo! Group but he hasn't participated for quite some time. I will, however, drop him a line this weekend and see if I can find out how things are going.

I'll be sure to let you know if I find anything out :)

I located the forum on Brian's official website and he's posted a few times today so at least I know he's around. Now all I need to do is collar him ;)

Just an update to say that there IS no update :( Been a week since I e-mailed Brian (and I know he was online) but haven't received a reply. It's quite odd because as I said before he'd always keep me updated and send me pictures of him, Estelle and her sons when they had brunch together. If things aren't going too well then he might not really want to say and I can understand that.

Well, I never did receive a reply from Brian Hamilton which was rather a shame but maybe he'd prefer not to disclose any information regarding Estelle's health.

Estelle doesn't really have Parkinsons, and/or Alzheimers. They misdiagnosed her, according to the Enquirer...and to Estelle's close friends. She has a different type of condition called D_ _ (I don't remember exactly) She was on medicine for Alzheimers and Parkinsons, which she didn't need, and THAT stuff made her decline in health. She is now in great condition, and living a better life than before! Thank goodness!

You sure you wanna put stock in the "Enquirer"?

I know I have an interview on tape of Rue McClanahan talking about Estelle, and she said she doesn't have Parkinson's or Alzheimers. She has the same condition that Dudley Moore died of. It was also during that interview that she said that Betty White went to visit her, and after Betty left, Estelle said, "That was a really nice lady" and had idea who she was.

I guess we can just keep her in our prayers, and hope she is happy in her own way. :(

Then, I wonder why Brian Hamilton never wanted to spread the word about Estelle's current health to Sam.......He should've answered her especailly if he knew about the article in the Enquirer.........I'm happy for her too......... :happyface

If the article is really true. Rue said in a TV Guide interview that Estelle had been diagnosed with the same condition that Dudley Moore had... a rare brain disorder that eventually killed him.

Hopefully it is true, though.

This is great news! I have always worried about her and her health. It's great knowing that she is getting better!!!

We love you Estelle!

I'm interested in knowing how Estelle is doing. My husband has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude but it is hard.
