Big possibility I might start watching Days again if this is true. I watched most of the original possession storyline on YouTube when it was available. I love supernatural stories.

He did have a weird obsession for "doc" during the time I watched the show. It seemed like she was the only thing that mattered. I haven't watched Days in almost 20 years so I hope whoever ends up possessed can pull it off. Deidre was awesome in the possession storyline. No one could have done a better job at that than her during that time. I also hope it's going to be a real possession story and not a copout like their infamous serial killer story. Since you're watching Days, are there any hints with the stories right now leading to the introduction for a possession story?

Yeah it is happening, it started on Friday September 17th episode, and it is a very good storyline, hope the ratings go up, they need storylines like this.

Beyond ridiculous and so very unrealistic and unentertaining IMO. It makes me sick that they're making poor Doug possessed by satan.

Talk about stupidity... might as well put Passions back on the air.

Oh it's so weird to be watching this soap again. Julie looks fantastic. She looks just like she did almost 20 years ago when I stopped watching. I wasn't expecting Doug to be possessed. I wonder if they're using him to get Marlena possessed again? I'm watching yesterday's episode and Satan is still obsessed with her. I like that a lot of the original characters are still in this show. Kate also looks great after all these years. It's nice that her and Roman are giving me a brief update of their love life and the island crap that made me quit watching

I have a feeling this story will rewrite itself like the Salem Stalker story. They spent a lot of time talking about a movie script that involved Marlena's possession. I bet this will be revealed as a work of fiction by Will or that other young kid. I hope I'm wrong but Days does have a track record of undoing everything they did for a ratings bump.

Passions dropped its supernatural element after Josh Ryan Evans died their third year. He played the doll on the show. I'll never forget how bad that show became after his death. They went from fun, wacky supernatural stories to incest stories. I don't think it needs to come back on the air unless it's reruns of Josh's episodes.

You are mistaken about Passions. After "Timmy" a.k.a. Josh died, Passions still played on the supernatural stuff like Tabitha's "boys in the basement", Kay casting spells on Charity and Miguel countless times, etc... right up until the very last episode, the show was still playing the witchcraft stuff like how Kay cast a spell on Julian to restore his "manhood."

I remember after Josh died, the writers gave Tabitha a baby and her screen time was talking to a baby that had word bubbles as a response. It was very different than the Tabitha that turned herself into a dog to go kill Grace's twin sister. She was definitely put on the backburner because that's why I quit watching. Charity and Miguel also left the show not that long after Josh died. The performers went onto acting in other shows. Molly costarred with Sara Gilbert in Twins and Jesse found success in Desperate Housewives. Those shows were in 2004 / 2005. I also remember Grace left the show but was supposed to come back. I was hoping they would give her her memories back to go confront Tabitha but in the episode I saw for her return, she ended up dying in a plane crash. It felt like every connection the show had to the supernatural element, the writers destroyed it. I also remember reading they turned Jessica into a ho that was in love with a pimp. That's a huge loss of character development because she was the tough girl ruining Kay's plans to get Miguel in the first three years. From the stuff I read and the few episodes I saw, it just looked like a boring run of the mill soap opera.

Kay cast a spell on Julian to restore his "manhood."

Edit: Just curious, is this because Julian got his son pregnant? I read that the Valerie / Vincent character was Julian's child, had sex with him getting pregnant, and then gave birth to their child. That's one of the sickest and craziest stories a soap could do. Did Kay have to get involved because he was tormented over that? I'm so glad I dumped that show before this story started.

Fancy's friend, Esme had a niece named Vicki who mutilated Julian's privates, but I don't remember why. I stopped watching for the most part once they moved to that cable network (can't remember what it's called.) I think that was in early or mid 2008.

Oh, I thought you meant like Julian was impotent and needed help rising to the occasion. That is dumb. Passions went from supernatural stories of good verses evil to stories of handing out magical penises  I can't believe Ben stuck with Passions. When Passions first started, he was one of the entertaining characters for a good laugh. My favorite Julian scene is when the Bennett house is sinking in the ground because of hell in Charity's closet. Julian comes and says, "I always wondered what they did for entertainment on this side of town." Julian went from a classic character to a humiliating character with a mutilated penis getting a magical penis.

I believe Passions went to Direct TV when NBC canceled it. With stories like this, I'm surprise NBC put up with Passions for so long.

I don't think it's that good. The writing for it is bad so far. You've got this weak character, her grandson, going on and on about Marlena's first possession and how he can't wait to do a movie about it. You've got Mardevil doing all this talking and glancing at places with a head tilt like she's smelling a fart. It's bad acting. What made the original possession storyline exciting was the seriousness they had to it and the creepy background tune during their scenes. The acting was superb and the dialogue wasn't cheesy. Mardevil was doing sacrilegious acts that made the story shocking for its time. They need to either ramp this story up or drop it. With Halloween in a month, hopefully they've done something big by then so it's not a complete waste. I still have a feeling the ending will be Marlena's grandson at a computer typing the words "the end" on his manuscript letting us know this current possession storyline was all part of his movie. There's so much talk about this movie that I feel like that's the ending the writers have planned.

Looking at the show now, I wish Vivian was still here to spice things up. She sure knew how to make a good show.

Louise Sorel as Vivian was awesome. I didn't like the replacement Viv they had recently.

Louise Sorel is an excellent actress and devilishly fun, conniving and devious! The sorry replacement who held Lani's babies hostage was atrocious.
