I don't think I get the Decades channel but it's great that Family Affair is having a marathon. Fortunately I have the DVD's and can watch them anytime.

Yeah Decades is great! You should check and see if you have it! I just recently discovered we get it! And every weekend they show a different marathon of a show called "The weekend binge" ! Last week they showed Mary Tyler Moore in honor of Ed Asner passing! ;)

I have a few of the seasons of Family affair on DVD, not the whole set though! They show FA every morning at 8 and 8:30 which is a little early for me, so i can see my DVD's to get my Family Affair fix, but it is nice seeing this marathon being I don't have all the episodes on DVD!:)

Nice, but I don't think I can take more than a couple episodes. Didn't Mr. French have to leave the series for a while due to illness?

Yes, Sebastian Cabot was absent from about 10 episodes in the 1st season and another actor was temporarily brought in to take his place.

I checked the list of cable TV channels that I receive and didn't see Decades anywhere so I guess it isn't currently available in my area.

Which seasons of Family Affair do you have on DVD?

Yes , actor John Williams played Niles French , Giles French's Brother ! :)

I liked them both ! :)It would have been cool if when Sebastian returned if John Williams could have stayed on, maybe had a recurring role as working for another family in the building or something !,;)

You get Decades on your cable system, or only with an antenna? That’s how it is here. not on my cable, only if I haul out a TV hooked to an antenna (Same with that new REWIND network).

A few years ago, when I had zero access to Decades, someone said they were showing Pancho Barnes, the one Valerie Bertinelli movie I desperately need to see (it’s the only one I don’t have on DVD or isn’t available online somehow). Do they still run movies, or is it just old shows now?

Maybe when you have a little money saved up you can buy seasons 2 and 3, then you'll have the whole series. :)

John Williams was a good actor, I have seasons 1-5 of Alfred Hitchcock Presents on DVD and Mr. Williams is in some of those episodes.

He also appeared as Chief Inspector Hubbard in Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder,

No, no movies just old TV shows, mainly comedy ! Besides Family Affair, they show Petticoat Junction, I love Lucy, The Lucy show, Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke, Bob Newhart, Newhart , The Odd Couple, Love Boat , and a talk show Dick Cavett ! ;)

They also have a very interesting program on for an hour on weekdays 5 PM here, 8PM ET called " Across the decades " It features top news stories that happened on the day it is ( like today they will show news clips and feature events from Sept.14th hroughout the years ) . Very interesting , nostalgic and historical! ;)

Also they announce famous people's birthdays ,( I didn't have Decades on April 23 or June 25 th, so IDK if our two were announced )? :D and they even do a little biography if it's a really famous person esp
If they have passed away already ! ;)
