No trailers or extras to speak of. Great shame. I have read that there are extra scenes in the TV versions that air in America and I know a scene with the original Cindy and another with the original Peter were deleted. Plus one scene at the concert. stevea 06-01-2022, 08:52 AM What I'd like to see is a Blu-Ray of the original series, with all the scenes that were missing on the DVDs restored. Other than a couple of missing grid shots from the 3 parters and the dentis episode, I thought nothing else was missing? I would love to see the show in HD. Being recorded on 35mm film, it should look incredible, but I am sure I have always heard a rumour that the negatives were damaged? Considering how popular the show is (I mean, HGTV did very well out of the house right - they even made two more episodes to air after the first 4 because it was soo popular right???), a HD release would be excellent. The fact they didn't do it for the 50th makes me think they never will. damon strong 06-08-2022, 02:42 PM Other than a couple of missing grid shots from the 3 parters and the dentis episode, I thought nothing else was missing? A lot of them are under 25 minutes, but sitcoms of that era were typically over 25 minutes. Season 3 has all episodes over 25 minutes, indicating none from that season were edited. I recorded the show off Sky One in the 90s and was surprised to see that when the dvds came out, only a handful of the Sky episodes were edited. I had watched the show many times so when the 'new' scenes appeared to me, they really stood out. I feel that the dvds are complete, save for a few grid shots and some trims to the Hawaii episodes but I do not know for sure. Anyone have a contact address for Paramount or CBS so one can email them pleading for a groovy release in HD? Is there a message board tied with the Brady Bros podcast? Perhaps Barry and Chris know whether the episode negatives still exist or not??? The show would look amazing in HD. |
