Here's the reality of Jack as a chef.

I don't think he way very skillful. Yes, he went through the motions, but he was a disaster in the kitchen. And he couldn't remember recipes (remember the cooking show segment?)

Cooking is both an art and science. At a restaurant, you are supposed to be preparing food for a large clientele. He was a gourmet chef for a small group at best (and everyone had better order the same! lol).

One more thing: as a business owner I wouldn't hire someone out of school without experience.

I do think that any trade school worth a hill of beans would have a job placement strategy/program to find "intern" jobs for graduates.
