...and I can't believe the producers never thought of that, because Agnes Moorehead as Serena's mother would've been BRILLIANT. I'd have left the characterization up to Agnes though since she was so good at it. What do you think Serena's mother would've been like?

I agree. Casting Agnes Moorehead as Serena's mother could have opened up a whole new avenue for comedic "witchery" - especially if the character was the opposite of Endora. Moorehead could have played her as a doting, strait-laced, real matronly type, say.

I could see her having more Aunt Clara's personality and could have been another one of the few witches in Samantha's family that Darrin got along with. It would have been nice if Serena's mother and Endora would have been sisters, but Serena said she was related to Samantha from her father's side of the family
