I want to tell you all about the
horrible thing that happened Sunday, if u want to know. To those of you who get squemish about animals getting hurt, please don't read!

While I was sitting in my living room, I heard a commotion outside on the deck & I thought wtf?, so I looked outside & saw a dog running by. I opened the door & saw that it was running w/ my cat in its mouth! I yelled at it and started running after it, but the damn thing headed down my drive way full-speed. I yelled at mom & went back in my house to put on shoes. I was almost panicing because nothing had ever bothed my cat & I couldn't believe it! I ran outside & heard people screaming down on the road, & mom was looking around for something to give me to attack the dog. It took my poor cat, which was a full-blooded Siamese that some friends gave us when I was 5, off my property & down to the road. When I got to the road, two little girls were standing around my cat petting her. The dog was nowhere to be seen, but I was too shocked to ask them where it went. I thanked them for getting the dog to drop my cat, & I took her little broken body up to my house & couldn't belive that she was dead! It happened so fast! That cat was old, but healthy, & she was soo pretty w/ blue eyes. Nothing ever bothered her outside & she loved the outdoors so much! I had just fed her & she was fine.
Now, I'm asking you guys if u know, if I knew the person who owned the dog, could they get in trouble by the law? I mean animals aren't just supposed to come on your ****ing property & kill ur pets! I think the police sent out the dog-catcher. Bad crap happens to me all the time, & this about sent me over the edge.

That's terrible! My thoughts are with your kitty. I hope the kitty is okay! I don't know if the owners broke any laws, but they certainly need to be punished harshly.

Oh my God! That is so horrible. I know how difficult it is to lose a pet, especially if you've had it for so long.

In answer to your question, I would say turn them in. I thought there was supposed to be a leash law on dogs, but if the owners are really dishonest they could pull some b.s out and just say "Little Bobo, just jumped the fence. He didn't mean any harm." Something like that, but I would go ahead and turn them in if I were you.

Once again, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. :(

Even if the neighbours said the dog jumped over the fence, it is still their fault for letting the dog wander around, say, the yard without a leash or chain. I think the owners of the dog should still be held responsible for what happened to your cat. I think people would just say that about their dog just because they couldn't bear to see him taken to the pound and put down.

OMG! That's horrible, I'm so sorry about your cat!! :( That dog should not be allowed past its owners' backyard.

awww, Im so sorry about you're cat, losing pets is rough. :(
Dogs should def. have to be on a leash or kept inside a fenced area ALL THE TIME. A guy in my youth group had his chihuahua attacked by a pit bull in his yard last spring. :(

I dont have dogs but I keep my cat inside and my hamsters in a cage :)
