24 degrees, winter storm warning here in Indianapolis, with 6-9 inches of snow expected. They previously expected 9-12 inches--take the good news as you get it!

Here in Mid- Michigan we got 10 inches of snow over the last 2 days. Our first big snowfall this season so far. It's also very cold. 19 degrees and falling to single digits tonight.

Everyone seems to be having winter weather the last several days. We've had over 3 inches of rain today and it's suppose to turn over to sleet & snow within the next few hours.

It has been very dry here in my neck of the woods, and mild.
Temperatures haven been averaging around mid-to-late 60s with the humidity in the 25-to-40% range. But abundance of sunshine :)

We had a big derecho blow though here last night about 11 PM, knocked out power for over 30,000 people, and now we are forecast to have a few days of temps in the high 90s, with oppressive humidity. The electric utility is saying it will be several days before all power is restored.

What a time to have no A/C, no fan, and no fridge!

Funny thing is, we had a big derecho blow through here in June 2012...10 years ago, that also caused wide spread power outages that lasted several days.

At least this time I'm not among those without power.

Cost of gas bills in the East and actually East of CA..... Is $300-400 a month normal or higher or lower. I remember people closing off rooms in the winter so as the heat does not to into rooms that are NOT used......

And then size of house is a huge factor, the less the better and more comfortable price wise...for heating in winter and then there is A/c in Sumer......Live simple and monimally.
