I had no idea you had a heart attack! I hope you're doing better these days. I hope you're eating right, not smoking and exercising. I have a heart condition but never had a heart attack. I quit smoking, became vegetarian and I take 30 minute walks every day.

I also have acid reflux. I hate it. It feels like you're being choked from the inside. Very horrible feeling.

Glad you're in the same apartment for the past five years. I hope you like it.

Acid reflux is awful. For me it manifests in an edge-of-nausea feeling, and chest discomfort. Every time I've thought it was heart, either the doc or the ER doc said, reflux (with ER visit, you eventually get a GI Cocktail which knocks the reflux for a loop). So I've been thru all the ER heart routines, other times treadmill, still others EKG.

Right now I'm on Nexium which I thought meant eat and drink what you want. Bad thought. Bad things for reflux are choc., caffeine (coffee/tea), anything acidic like tomatoes, fried foods, eating too much of anything. Overdo on any of that and I pay, sometimes for a week or more.

Sorry for going on and on, congrats on 19 years--reading this prompted me to check and found I had 18 years on 8/13. Retired in 9/16, used to only go on Sitcoms on work breaks, now at home. No smartphone or cellphone of any kind--still can't justify it.

Yeah it was sodium overload. Had to eliminate grease and soda and salt. Far as the apt, it right across from a mini market and close to public transportation.

Glad to hear you doing alright. I try to keep my diet in tact as well, cutting out on greasy, fatty foods would be a start.

When I used to work in Manhattan, I didn't have a car. I had a small apartment in the suburbs right by the train station so it all worked out, didn't need a car as my place was right by a ton of stores and the train went straight into Manhattan (about twenty minutes.)

If there's parking meters, that's a drag. If that's the case, it would be a whole lot cheaper to just take a bus or a train.
