Almost all motor vehicles seen in TAGS (first 5 seasons, anyway) are Fords. Andy gets a new patrol car every year (quite a feat for a small town like Mayberry), Andy's Rich girlfriend's car, Baily's bad boy's car, Man in a hurry, Barney's first car, the list goes on and on.

Today I was surprised watching Baily's bad boy to discover that Fletch the farmer's pickup truck was a Chevy. They had some vegetables draped over the tailgate to hide the word "Chevrolet" in the close up scenes, but in the more distant scenes there was no vegetation hanging there, and the word Chevrolet was clearly readable.

I wonder if the show's producers received a "word from our sponsors" over that little slip up?
