The Brikkar is the one that surprises me because that race is a book created one introduced in the first Starfleet Academy book intended for young readers by Peter David. I read a few of those and only quit because they weren’t adventures set on the Enterprise and delved into the past of each main character on Star Trek: The Next Generation with the likely exception of Guinan who never served in Starfleet.
