My Amom wasn't home the whole time growing up so that gave us some freedom away from a "doting mother".

I think Ward was way better than my Adad.

Wally & Beaver never displayed any teenage rebellion, experimenting with alcohol & drugs, talking back, wanting to distance themselves from family like a lot of teenagers do. Ward & June had it pretty easy parenting 2 pretty much squares who were really good kids.

Yeah, I was raised like those boys, same generation. No "yes, sir" or "no, sir" though. My mom used the hairbrush on the butt, too, very rarely. Can't imagine June doing that.

LOL do we EVER see Ward & June having drinks like my parents did ?

I more or less raised myself ... got used to being alone ... still single ... very sufficient !
