I thought the latter was the most bizarre of the entire series. There were so many plot inconsistencies. Remember Stephanie trying out to be a cheerleader; Uncle Arch 'cheer cheer cheer how 'bout a beer'. She asserts she had always wanted to be a cheerleader, yet I don't recall this ever being mentioned before. In fact, she balked at the idea when Archie suggested she become a cheerleader instead of trying out for the baseball team. Then her making the squad was never referenced again in any future episode. It's like the writers were trying to come up with ideas to take advantage of Danielle Brisebois becoming a beautiful young woman so they decided to make her alter ego a cheerleader, but they never continued with that angle.
