So, when I was little about 5 years old, I was obsessed with Jeannie... I would replicate her outfit by putting a tape roll or cut paper towel roll on my head secured with a headband, and I'd run a scarf through it on each side, and BOOM I was Jeannie!!

I used the headband because it was an EASY way to secure the crown and scarf, and I thought Jeannie wore a headband as well.... but apparently she does not, and never did. What's funny is I was wild about headbands too because of Jeannie!! Any time I saw a woman with a headband, I was like, "Oh! She's got a headband like Jeannie!" I remember sometimes she would remove her veil and the headband would be very visible, it was black and went behind her head.... whereas mine went in the front under my chin, and hers did not go over her crown, where as mine did. I even remember getting annoyed because I wanted to wear mine exactly like Jeannie, but I couldn't make it work like that exactly.

So funny thing is, Jeannie never wore a headband, and she never undid her veil except once; The closest scene I can find is when she is in the grocery story and she's wearing a head "wrap" type thing.

I just wonder what I could have been seeing as a child?? lol

When Jeannie's sister blinks into Jeannie's bottle in the beginning of the episode, her veil is only attached on one side and you can see the black headband part of Barbara's evil twin wig. At some point after that scene she pulls the whole thing off and is just wearing the little hat.

Yeah I've found little thing here and there through the series that COULD have been what I'm remembering.... for e.g. I also seem to remember Jeannie SOMETIMES just wearing her veil hanging down on ONE side, I finally found an episode where she DID wear it like that, but only once, I thought she did it regularly.

About the headband, I remember it seems like she would sleep like that without her veil, and I remember once she was like that in a grocery store and once where she pulled her veil off to give it to Major Nelson for a cover when she blinked him into a drawer. I found that one, but that is the only one I can find where she removed it. She slept with the whole outfit off, in PJs, but no headband.
