Hoping to attract a better audience to their sitcoms Fox debuted Oliver Beene which was a funny sitcom centered on the life of the title character. Although destined to be a hit Oliver Beene had a slow start in ratings and was quickly cancelled. I don't recall who played Oliver Beene but I do know that it also starred Daveigh Chase from Disney's Lilo And Stitch. I think had it gotten promoted right Oliver Beene could've been a success for FOX
