Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman Join Cast of "And Just Like That…"

Carrie Bradshaw’s friend group just got a lot bigger: HBO Max’s "Sex and the City" revival "And Just Like That…" has added Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman to its cast, TVLine has learned.

“Everyone at And Just Like That… is thrilled to have these amazing and vibrant actors join the Sex and the City family,” executive producer Michael Patrick King said in a statement. “Each of them will add their unique spark and big heart to these new characters and the stories we are about to tell.”




Parker (Empire, Soul Food) will play Lisa Todd Wexley, a Park Avenue mother of three and documentarian.

Choudhury (Homeland, Blindspot) will play Seema Patel, a single, self-made powerhouse Manhattan real estate broker.

Pittman (The Morning Show, Marvel’s Luke Cage) will play Dr. Nya Wallace, a brilliant, challenging Columbia Law professor.

Bridget Moynahan is reprising her role as Mr. Big's ex-wife on the Sex and the City revival (https://www.etonline.com/bridget-moynahan-who-played-mr-bigs-ex-wife-natasha-spotted-on-sex-and-the-city-reboot-set-169122)

The Blue Bloods star famously played Natasha, the second wife of Mr. Big, whom he cheated on with Carrie Bradshaw. Moynihan appeared in seven episodes of the original series.

Sarah Jessica Parker posted (https://www.instagram.com/p/CSp7bbLt0Hj/) images of Parker with Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. Parker will play a character named Lisa Todd Wexley, a Park Avenue mother of three who becomes closely linked to the three And Just Like That characters.

After Sarah Jessica Parker posted a photo (https://www.instagram.com/p/CSp7bbLt0Hj/) of her, Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, The Daily Mail reported that Parker "is stepping into Samantha's Jimmy Choos," playing Carrie Bradshaw's best friend on the And Just Like That sequel series.

Because Parker was among the first cast on the And Just Like That HBO Max reboot, it was widely reported that she would essentially be the fourth friend (https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/23/entertainment/nicole-parker-sex-city-trnd/index.html), filling the void left by Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones. Parker tells The Hollywood Reporter that because of those reports, her casting has been met with mixed reactions. “When it first came out that I was replacing the Samantha character — which is not true at all so please write that — I have been yelled at, and I’ve also been attacked with love," says Parker. "I’ve been photographed in places I should never be photographed. The fans are so excited and over the top. I had some idea of that because I am one of those fans but I had no idea (the extent of it).”
