Hi Gang.
I won't be around too much the next week. My computer is sick and I am without the Internet at home. I am in school right now posting from here. It goes in the shop tomorrow and I don't know when it will be done. I hope to get to school once a day to
check on things, but I will just have to see how often I can. Pray it gets fixed soon!
Thanks Luckymama(Marie)

Well I am back, but at a cost. Seems like our computer caught a nasty virus called KLEZ. The computer guy says a lot of computers are getting it. It bypasses and messes up your antivirus software, like norton and mcgafee and then attacks your registry. It destroyed our modem and the guy wound up having to reformat my harddrive. He says it came in through Outlook Express mail, since most local IP's don't have a virus scan like Yahoo mail and Hotmail and online mail services like that. I lost my photoshop again for a while till my son can give me a copy again, so I am out of the photo business for a while. I have spent the evening reinstalling everything again and I have to scan all of my zip and floppy disks tomorrow for viruses before I can open any of those files. We had backed up all of our files before it went into the shop, anticipating the reformating of the hard drive (we had that happen before!) but the computer guy said that some of those files might have been corrupted too. Geez, I hope not. I have very important Chico stuff on those disks. Pray hard they weren't corrupted! I am telling you all of this problem so you all are aware of what is out there!

BTW it's good to be back!

Oh wow. Sorry to hear about your virus. What a bummer!

When opening e-mails-- if it's a YAHOO one I use their virus scanning thingy they have in it. If it's one downloaded into OUTLOOK EXPRESS, I use virus scan on it. Several viruses have been sent in e-mails to me several or more times, mostly by stranger who were probably doing it to be mean & once by a friend of my cousins. I never got any virus from them because I used virus scan & with most of them, I was able to detect that they were viruses & I deleted all of them right away without opening it. I keep my virus scan on all the time.

One virus I have gotten is one that says "I SEND THIS FILE TO HAVE YOUR ADVICE" or some such. If you get any mails with that in them- delete as it's a virus. Also if you get an e-mail with the subject of Gif" * MERGEFORMATINET. It is the virus W32.Magistr.39921@mm. Good luck! Hope you didn't lose your Freddie stuff!
