Rewatching TCS... the Apollo opening, with the cast dressed up and dancing...
In Season 6, Cosby ended the opening with "That's the best darn elevator music I've ever heard," but it's gone in Season 7.
Does anyone know why it was removed? It's a simple thing, but I've always wondered why it disappeared between the seasons.

The exact quote is "This is the best elevator music I've ever heard!"
I do remember the line being removed, but I don't know why it was removed.
What I do remember is that the original airing of the season 7 premiere had what would end up being the opening for season 8. If I recall correctly, there was an issue with one of the wall artists, but I don't remember exactly what it was. After that episode they went back to the season 6 opening for the rest of the season.

The owners of the mural threatened to sue the show for ripping off the young artists when they used some of the paintings without permission. Casey-Werner tried to negotiate a settlement with Creative Arts workshop but Bill Cosby decided to replace the them with season 6 opening credits. Only a few cities saw the opening with the mural at that time

Interesting. St. Louis was one of those cities.

Oddly, several international prints of Season 7 use that original opening.
