That year had some really promising new sitcoms quality wise. DAG on NBC was the best one season sitcom ever made. It being a flop sucks, but at least NBC gave DAG a Frasier lead-in away from red hot Who Wants to be a Millionaire? competition. Bette and Welcome to New York I really liked what I saw of, but it was instant doom for them being sent against Millionaire. I also would have renewed Early Edition instead of City of Angels, that show nosedived when sent to Thursdays in its only fall slot.
