Camila Mendes is turning 27 today. Mendes, whose parents are Brazilian, was born in Virginia, but spent much of her childhood in Florida. She graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU in 2016.
Mendes was still taking classes at NYU when she auditioned for her first acting role–and still her best-known one. She was cast as Veronica Lodge on Riverdale, The CW’s dark take on the world of Archie Comics (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archie_Comics).

Mendes made her feature film debut in 2018, in The New Romantic. She starred in the 2019 thriller Coyote Lake, and in last year’s Dangerous Lies. She has also had supporting roles in other features, such as the sci-fi rom com Palm Springs.
Mendes also remains a star of Riverdale, of course. The show is currently midway through its fifth season; the second half will begin airing in August. It has been renewed for a sixth season.
