The most famous John Hancock of course would be the Declaration of Independence signer. Today I found out there was an actor named John Hancock as well. He guest starred on a Greatest American Hero episode, although I wouldn't know what role he played. Looking him up in my primetime directory, he was a regular on Hardcastle and McCormick, a flop drama called Houston Knights, Love and War which he died during, Barney Miller imitation Pacific Station with Robert Guillaume as the main star, and some strange sounding 20 minute show called Stop Susan Williams.

I remember him. He was in a lot of stuff. I think he also played a judge on a few episodes of LA Law. Plus he was the veterinarian when Alex’s dog was sick on Taxi.

I've seen him in Love & War, but Family Ties is the main thing that I remember him from.

I came across a third John Hancock. He is a contestant on the Jeopardy! episode airing now.
