I'm reading some comments from those and about building close to the sand and water and here is one true comment:

What are Architects thinking when they build a building on sand, and next to water?!?! I know, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Should definitely re-examine building standards in Florida. It seems like the volatility of the land mass is well known. Buildings shouldn’t be allowed to just collapse.

The latest updates and it's said there were issues with this structure for some time but sounds like condo owners couldn't come up with funds for Major work to be done.

If thats true I wonder if they will be sued?

This is going to take months, years to get to the truth of it all. Since so many are still not recovered, some of the condo owners most likely have died.

This nightmare continues and now the evacuation of more condos in No Miami Beach. 300+ people are being forced to evacuate due to reports of unsafe conditions at this complex.

The radio sources I hear were saying that back in the 70's there was a huge rush to develop beach front condos and that so many people fleeing the cold north were a big exodus. With years of salt water and as they said even shoddy construction and this is going on.

Hard to imagine but this is happening and for how long, time will tell. And an impending hurricane on the way.
