Dan here from down under and a massive fan!

I've always been curious about a "set" change on the show. I understand the house layout was slightly changed after the pilot episode , with the entrance being flipped and the house dolled up a bit more to look more luxurious. My question is " Why was the Butlers pantry between the kitchen and dining room suddenly removed after 2 seasons"? . A luxury mansion would certainly have such a feature , and I've always been curious on why it was suddenly removed.
