Sanfords probably had the best idea for business rejuvenation and expansion when they decided to Merge with Julio in the episode "The Merger".

Julio who owned the next door junk business merged with Sanfords and with the profits and costs split three ways between them, they could have had a good bustling business. With Lamont and Julio teaming up, they could have got into "larger" commodities such as freezers, fridge, washer/dryers and household items.

And Fred already showed a knack as the shop keeper, wheeling and dealing when he sold a radiator to a customer for two-O ($20), but marked it on his inventory sale sheet for one-O. So the tax man get zero :D

It would have been a good idea if they could have gotten along with each other. They each had their own ideas how to run things and of course Fred wanted to be the boss and get the bigger share of the profits.

How true. Fred even argued that he should do the tv commercial for their business since he got a beard and people trust a man with beard...such as Lincoln or Wolf-man Jack :D

That would have made some some better storylines in my mind...they could have had a super junkyard and appealed to African-Americans and Latinos getting all of the neighborhood business.
