Does anyone have any info on the actor who played the Cafe owner. He looks familar. I think he had a show on PBS something about a Rainbow. Also I believe he played the mayor in the Back to the Future movies.
PS: When the Darcy's try to act hip in that episode saying words like "Your Mama", "Word", and "to the hood". That is so funny.

The actor playing the diner owner is Phill Lewis, tvje. He is perhaps best known for his recurring role as street hustler T.C. on the long-running WB network sitcom "The Wayans Bros." He did not portray the mayor in "Back To The Future" (actor Donald Fullilove played Mill Valley Mayor Goldie Wilson in the aforementioned "Back To The Future"). I think you were trying to refer to actor LeVar Burton, who did indeed host the long-running PBS children's program "Reading Rainbow." Burton is also well known for his roles as Kunta Kinte in the groundbreaking '70s miniseries "Roots," and also Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge on the hit syndicated series "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
This particular episode of "Married...With Children," entitled "Enemies," was a backdoor pilot for a proposed spinoff series that (thankfully) never materialized beyond the pilot stage. "Enemies" was clearly inspired by the overnight success of "Friends" (which debuted in the autumn of 1994); as a result of its success, there were quite a few "Friends"-inspired sitcoms that debuted throughout the '90s that quickly fizzled...if I had to count them on both my hands, I'd run out of fingers! As terrible as "Enemies" is (and it is terrible), Marcy and Jefferson D'Arcy speaking "wigger" to the diner owner, George, is definitely a highlight. And here's a bit of trivia for you, tvje: Rance Howard and the late Jean Speegel Howard, parents of one-time child stars Ron and Clint Howard, appear as an elderly couple (named Edwin and Claire, respectively) in the diner.
Enjoy your evening, tvje!
