I seem to think that WKRP In Cincinnati was the inspiration for Newsradio because if you watch it you'll notice that WKRP is exactly like WNYX from Newsradio and that the characters in WKRP In Cincinnati are like the Newsradio characters too. I'm surprised that the creator of the show didn't sue Paul Simms for copying WKRP In Cincinnati for Newsradio
