On Sunday, June 13 FeTV ran a "Wedding Day" episodes marathon.....So at 6PM eastern they presented the full two parter of "Barbaras' Wedding" yeah where silly Mark gets cudos for giving up a golf game early to marry Barbara! LOL But I digress.............
As an original viewer I noticed for the first time that Marks' mother was played by a different actress and was NOTHING like the episode several seasons' later where Ann gets jealous over her neediness always. (Remember "I want my woosh fixed sometimes") said Ann! LOL
So just a post that Mark Had Two mothers, each played by different actresses and had two different personalities!
BTW yes Sam hadn't been even cast, did not attend wedding but Marks' mother even brought a date to the wedding and was very strong willed.

“I’m warning you Mark, don’t tap dance on my coffin”
What I don’t get here is I’m pretty sure it was the same actress both times. Claudette Nevins.
Her IMDb page agrees with me

Great research! Opus, I totally admit since she only appeared in the two episodes a season apart, she didn't look familiar, I was more surprised for the sense of a single plot episode, from the wedding she was dating, strong, then becomes some woman that always needed special pampering! LOL

She definitely came back with a different hairstyle.
Left photo, wedding. Right photo, woosh.

WOW love the research and photos Opus my friend, no wonder I didn't recognize her! LOL.........
Just one of those sitcom script continuity errors! LOL......meaning obviously the "whoosh" episode was really meant for strong take charge "Ann" to show vulnerability, especially to her new husband "relaxed Sam"
Can't believe Im still noticing new things after watching since it premiered, every syndication/cable run and owning dvd's! LOL
