I have always wonder what would have happened if TV show producer Norma Lear have created GoodTimes with the Jeffersons (louise and George) living in Chicago project instead of James and Florida.

And off course with JJ, Thelma and Micheal as their children.

George probably would have been more supporting of JJ since like JJ he also like to throw Jokes. louise might had to up the ante a bit and toughen little more to live in such a harsh environment with poverty and violence.

And definitely no doorman or living-in maid :D

Always wondered if James and Florida would’ve had chemistry if Isabel Sanford played Florida and Esther Rolle went to The Jeffersons instead but I never thought about this. One thing you can say is that it would’ve been interesting.

That switching probably would have been better match "physicaly" between two couples. Chemistry between Florida and James is good, but physically they are mismatch.

Louise is prettier than Florida. She just have to drop a few pounds :D

I think the poster meant Good Times level, if The Jeffersons’ would’ve been featured in the ghetto for the show’s entire run

Right, the idea of a big, strapping, attractive man like James being eager to have sex with Florida, it wasn’t all that convincing. I’m not putting down Florida, she is a very nice looking woman, but I think in real life, a guy like James would have the hots for someone like Wilona instead.

George would have been even funnier if he was poor

I don’t even think Louise would be friends with someone as gossipy as Wilona

In REAL LIFE I have seen ppl with ppl "out of their league" Personality DOES play into it as well.... I can't really see James EVER being with Willona, their personalities clash too much

Willona was similar to Florence I think, so I think Louise could decently get along with her

OH Nuts!

Well the Jeffersons WERE poor at one time so they did know how to deal with it. Think smart, have really good business acumen and WORK and SMART—that’s why they moved on up.

Anyway, I wonder how the 2 families would have gotten along? Apparently they exist in the same universe, since they both are spin-offs of All in the Family...though Good Times an indirect spinoff

Probably cordially, but I think George was a lot smarter and had more moxie than James, so even if they were in the projects, it wouldn’t have been for long.

Probably not as funny since he would be less stressed.....

Good Times wasnt in the same universe as the Jeffersons. it was proven in season 3 when the Jeffersons was seen on front of a magazine.

You would never see that in a Bunkers or Findlay household
