We see Eddie at his slimiest when he forge’s Beaver’s Report Card and poor Beav get’s blamed for it—until Ward & June find out Eddie was the culprit. This is the only time I think Ward ever threatened to banish Eddie.

But I’m curious what others think: Should Ward and June let Beaver keep the model plane set? I mean they accused Beaver of the forgery and didn’t believe him—even when they themselves admit Beaver always fesses up when he did something wrong. So they do need to make some kind of amends and I think he deserved something — as a token for their error. Maybe an extra 50% in his allowance—or treating him to a movie and or ice cream soda.

They could have kept the set but tell Beaver he could have it if he brought his next Arithmetic grade up to a C. Another possibility is to save it as an Xmas gift for him.

So….what do you think?

Seriously, I thought Ward got him a telescope but I probably have the wrong episode. They were both wrong for not believing him, when they DID believe him with Klepto Ken. Mixed messages confuse a kid.

How about taking the cost of the reward out of Wally's allowance, because it was his friend who did the dirty deed, and Wally failed to protect his brother from eddie's no-goodnick antics.

This sets up Beaver to suffer Wally's resentment, and thus reinforces a "self policing" dynamic going forward.
