View Full Version : Massage and Bodywork Can Do Wonders
Caroline13 05-29-2021, 04:37 PM I've gotten massages and done bodywork for decades and not now since I don't drive and can't get around. And if I had more funds, I'd have a massage therapist come to my house now and then.
The world is so uptight, in knots and the bodywork would be wonders. Many on this forum would benefit for sure.
I run into a lot of anger here and if people would look at that and change things. Many would rather throw daggers than think about the dove and peace.
I was going to be a massage therapist at one point and then the arthritis in my thumb reared it's ugly head and I had to give that idea up....but I do believe that if so many would do massage so much more peace, and I also believe more women are the peacemakers....our mothers are the first peacemakers...
And yes I'm sure people have had unhappy experiences with mothers, but I believe more have good ones than not. Peace Out People.
And then of course, there is talk therapy to work on the psychology of the mind....Just sayin....
Caroline13 07-12-2021, 02:12 PM Just discussing this subject with another group and talking about which Sex should Rule the world. Well, all I can say, for the 8 decades I've been on this earth, the Males have sure messed things up.
Men don't ask for help, men can do it .. would not seek help as they are too macho. I was married to one of those. After a while I just let him run thru the red lights and chuckle when the police came up behind us...
Women ask for help, do talk therapy, get into more spiritual avenues of our world so overall I say it's time for some woman to get some fixes in the world.
Let's fly that Dove vs the Hawk.
And get those massages and relax the body and TALK about issues that men know how to stuff.
Of course, there are exceptions to what I'm saying but not many.
And of course I appreciate the two programs I paid into all my working years and they came about by men.
And looking thru all the topics so many threads not touched....
Dude111 07-12-2021, 07:11 PM When I was over at my friends the other day My friends dad and stepmom were in the gameroom for awhile and when he came out later I asked what they were doing. He said she was giving him a massage (hehehe) I laughed a little but I guess they do help :)

Dude, of course they help and that couple were enlightened to help their mate with this wonderful free bodywork. So many do not touch and enjoy the pleasures of massage. I went to a massage school in our town for years, students worked on people at discount rates and the teachers were around too. If one wanted to pay more, they would get the teacher. My ex didn't like massage...boy were we mismatched in so many areas.
When I went to visit my parents I would give my mom massages and it was like Heaven for her. So so sad people miss out on this wonderful work, pleasure.
Dude111 07-12-2021, 08:28 PM Ya my friend gave me a massage and it DID feel good!!

Get into the habit Dude, and you'll make a lot of points. Most people like massage, I've met a few people in my life, who don't, but I find them really unusual...that's a kind word. But people are people and what one may like/love, another may not.
Dude111 07-12-2021, 09:39 PM :) I hear ya Carole :)
Caroline13 07-31-2021, 05:49 PM As expected, this subject didn't get much interest here. And along the same lines of healing and not doing invasive work, just heard one of my favorite MD's who does Prolotherapy work to Save People from Invasive joint surgeries and continuing or more harm. I'm one of them with the hip replacement going on 11 yrs soon.
Well this MD is also very spiritual and so believes in the healing of Meditation and not talking religion, and so do I. There is a Science behind Meditation and it's not a bunch of hooey as some choose to believe.
Hollow 07-31-2021, 08:17 PM i just finished physical therapy for arthritis, where i had needles drilled into my skin down to the muscles and given e-stim. i literally yelled curse words in pain while the needles were installed but now my jaw feels....ahhh. like it's not even there. :D
Caroline13 07-31-2021, 10:05 PM So much can help the arthritis issue, and it is an ongoing work in progress. Once OA sets in, it's all management. PT helps, on your needles, what was in the needle? If cortisone, it will break down the joints more and more. Stim helps somewhat, I have a home unit, you can have it as I never use it, too weak and it''s all temporary too.
Prolo and PRP work is the most promising and not invasive . I use a bunch of ointments and low dose otc pain meds every 6 hrs and for my issue, everything got worse after hip replacement in 2010 which was supposed to help and it made my body all worse, more OA set in from all the cutting and trauma.
