I always thought Mr. Feeny was sexist in season 1. Notice how he treated Minkus like he was the smartest kid in class, but Topanga was the smartest kid in school. She made straight A's.

Actually, it seemed he favored Topanga over Cory and Shawn- at least academically. At this point, though, Minkus was the smartest kid in the school but somehow Topanga WOULD be valedictorian when they graduated high school at the end of Season Five. Of course, how Minkus fell behind her academically went entirely unexplained.

Yeah he really loved Topanga and Minkus because they were both smart and a little awkward at times.

True- and it seemed that there were signs that Topanga might have liked Minkus MORE than Cory in the beginning but whatever conflicts there may have been got dumped when they dumped Minkus at the end of Season One and then retroactively pretended that Cory and Topanga had adored each other from infancy.
