I thought it was the wrong idea to have the death of Chet Hunter. It brought more drama in the life of Shawn?

View Full Version : Why did they decide to get rid Shawn's father Chet in season 6 Confidence30 05-29-2021, 01:15 PM I thought it was the wrong idea to have the death of Chet Hunter. It brought more drama in the life of Shawn? PracTz 06-02-2021, 12:03 PM Since there are teens who DO lose their parents before they get to be adults, I guess they wanted to show how it might happen- and, it would have WAY too much had Cory,Eric and Morgan lost either Alan or Amy. IMO, what was bogus about this was how everyone pretended from Shawn to even Mr. Feeny all pretended that Chet had been this wonderful, involved, caring parent when he had consistently been a neglectful and indifferent one who'd only claim otherwise if anyone attempted to call him on his neglect. I just wish SOMEone on the show had just said that yes it was sad he died with so many unresolved issues but he was NO saint and a lousy parent and they needed to learn to accept if not like that reality. Confidence30 06-08-2021, 03:01 PM Yeah Chet was not really a bad guy. Hhe was lonely and desperate he spent years of his life chasing after Verona who was running away with other guys lol. |
