I've been watching this show for decades now to be honest since 2002 to 2003. I was too young to have watched the sitcom in the 1990s. I was a kid, but I dont understand why they called the show Boy Meets World. I figure Cody is the main character in the show. Why not just make it easy and call it Cory Meets World ?

I seen that episode, but I thought the title Cory Meets World sounds better than Boy Meets World lol

Originally it was called 'The Ben Savage Project' (and it seems both Will Friedel and Rider Strong auditioned for their parts while it was still called that name) but I guess they decided to make it how a preteen, then teen boy was supposed to view the world via school and his own experiences so they changed it to 'Boy Meets World' . I suppose they didn't call it 'Cory Meets World' because they wanted him to be someone that viewers who weren't named Cory could somehow relate to as an 'every kid', and also since his older brother Eric and bestie Shawn often had storylines dealing with life on their own terms, they also could consider it ANY of the three boys rather than ONLY Cory meeting the world.

The Ben Savage Project seems like a strange name for a TV show. I doubt people would watched it with title like that.

I am guessing that the show name was due to the fact that there was more than one male lead character: Corey, Shawn, Eric, and eventually Shawn's brother, Jack too.
God bless you always!!!

Yeah I know there were other people on the show besides him, but I think the show being called Cory Meets World would have made more sense. It sounds better because most of the episodes revolved around his life.
