Milk container always full to the top
Milk never capped to keep fresh
Glass top heavy glasses for kids
Kids always leave half drank milk glasses on countertop
Never drink chocolate milk?
Glasses always filled to top when never finished
Milk, never water drank by kids at home. Occasionally fruit juice drink
Soda pop rarely consumed on LITB.
What is soda pop called? Could be clue to location
Ward & June big coffee drinkers. Even before bed.
Never see kids drinking coffee
Ward never takes a coffee for the road
June's a big finish your food nagger. But, never tells kids to finish milk

Yeah, they sure do seem to have a thing for milk on LITB. Indeed, if one goes by TV or movies, in that era, milk was the de rigueur go-to drink for minors.

I noticed some of things from your list as well, especially the uncapped bottle of milk in the refrigerator, and the impractical ( if not stylish ) top-heavy, stemmed drinking glasses full of milk at the table. I think the full or nearly full glasses left unfinished ( or food for that matter ) is a trope all its own in the world of TV and movies. One of the all time cliches.

Regarding coffee I always mused at how on LITB and many older films, one would see couples having coffee right before bed. in some movies you'd see a carafe of coffee on the bedroom nightstand as a couple talks, reads as they drink coffee just before "lights out". Who knows, maybe the custom or tastes then was for weak and watery coffee.

OH Nuts!

And that big pitcher of ice tea (or perhaps lemonade) at the beginning if one of the latter seasons.

Didn't Beaver tell Violet Rutherford she drinks gutter water? Maybe that was the weak coffee.

We see a cardboard holder of soda bottles called Delight. June tells Wally to put the empties in the garage. The boys have ginger ale at MaryEllen’s house with donuts. Beaver offers Andy some Honolulu punch which he declined but was very happy to receive a bottle of brandy to throw back. The only alcoholic beverage Ward ever has at home like in the alligator episode. Don’t think June ever served tea even though Ward is trying to mend her teapot.

Wally comes down to the kitchen and drinks three glasses of water in front of Margie. The Barons liked beer and so did Marlene, draw two! Harry mentions how his dad likes an old fashioned while he has a Shirley Temple.

I agree. One of the frequently abused plot devices on Gunsmoke is (out in the street) "Can I buy you a drink?"

They enter the saloon, order and pay for drinks, have a few words and then leave the saloon with the drinks barely touched,... over and over....

As far as Milque being the beverage of choice on LITB, well they had to have something to compliment the toast.

Fred stops by one morning to go to the office in Ward’s car and Ward offers him a cup of coffee. Fred invites them to Friends Lake. I noticed Fred never touches his coffee so June has another cup and saucer to wash.

LITB uses tiny tea cups for coffee. Everybody had them. Really tiny. Looks like 4 oz. We used them for coffee a lot. Not always. Would it be uncivilized to use a nice bigger coffee mug glass? June would have a stroke? Do the Cleavers only have the glass milk glasses and these tea cups as the only 2 they have? No thermos of coffee for Ward early morning golf, or long drive to hunt? No thermos of soup for kids lunch in winter? No thermos hot chocolate winter skating, sledding?

my parents drank nightly after dinner tiny dime-Tass (?) 4 oz espresso coffee, but used regular coffee cups and even a glass for coffee at morning +- times

we kids used 12 oz traditional glasses with milk delivered 2-3 times a week from Hood Milk Truck by Joe the milk delivery guy - he also sold hostess cup cakes/twinkies/HoHos/tabletalk pies (mini's too), OJ, Wonder Bread ....

times they are a-changing

I think the cups were tiny so that the performers could gulp down the 'coffee' ASAP without skipping any dialogue. Not the first or last TV production to do this sort of thing.

On 'The Lucy Show' the props folks actually specially made ice-cream cones just big enough to hold a tiny dab of ice-cream while Lucy and another character had some dialogue in a park while eating the frozen concoction but not too big for either of them to have to linger eating said ice-cream after their dialogue was over.
