The first two seasons were the best to me. I wish TJ would add a Batman board here. Pitooey 07-12-2002, 03:10 PM I've always seen it as a comedy too. By the way Jenny. I'm reading Burt's book I got it yesterday and I already LAUGHED out loud......... :) DarleneIllyria 07-12-2002, 08:58 PM Originally posted by JennyLee22 I've always seen it as a comedy too. By the way Jenny. I'm reading Burt's book I got it yesterday and I already LAUGHED out loud......... :) I'm glad you got it so soon. Burt has so many funny parts in the book. I just got my copy that I won off ebay today. I liked it that much, that I went out and bought a copy for me to read whenever I wanted to. :) Hey JennyLee, have you got a DVD player? If you do, I would recommend the 1966 Batman movie for you (if you haven't gotten it already). It has so much bonus stuff crammed onto the disk. Let me see if I can remember some of the stuff on it. Batman movie (Just the plain version Batman movie (with Burt and Adam's commentaries) Another Burt and Adam commentary Inside the Batmobile special Adam West picture vault Another set of pictures Batman movie commericials Planet of the Apes mini trailer Pitooey 07-12-2002, 09:44 PM I'm going to check into it............. Thanks for telling me about it. I agree with you TJ has to have a Batman thread going. I just can't believe all the stuff that Burt's gone through....... Brian 07-12-2002, 11:25 PM While Batman did have some comedy elements, I would not consider it a sitcom. It's more of a drama/action/adventure series with some comedy mixed in. Sort of like how Hill Street Blues was a drama with some comedy elements thrown in and how Barney Miller was a comedy with some drama elements thrown in. I just can't believe all the stuff that Burt's gone through....... I just saw your post at the suggestion board. I posted a reply in it to second the notion. I could see if the Batman tv series was like the dark movies they did in the 90's, that it wouldn't be considered a comedy or a sitcom. I think the tv series would go in well with the other 60's shows. Burt has had a wild life. The only thing that really disappointed me in his book was the story toward the end about his last wife Tracy. Burt wanted Adam to be his best man, and I thought Adam's behavior was a bit on the bold side. You'll see what I mean when you get to that part. If TJ doesn't add a Batman board, I discovered another Batman board. Let me get the link for you. I just registered there. My screen name is Robintzfan. http://www.workshirtsales.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl/YaBB.pl?board=general&action=messageindex&start=0 The message board also has an awesome site. Pitooey 07-13-2002, 01:07 PM OMGoodness Jenny !
