What is up with part 2 of The New Girl?! They cut out a REALLY good part! The part where Tootie says "Oh that little black girl? No, she aint ours!". I love that part! Why did they cut it out! Don't say it offensive, cuz she made more black jokes in the rest of the episode! Who else is mad? I thought The Hallmark Channel would be better than N@N! Have you noticed since they started the 2nd season, they cut to commercials a lot? I'm angry about that too! Adios for now. I don't care if I spelled "Adios" wrong! Bye.

-sigh- Ok I don't want to say much, but to me it doesn't matter if they edit out stuff or they don't, the fact that it's on TV is what I'm concerned about. Hell I could get just 5 minutes of FOL and I'd be happy. Those of us who have Hallmark are very fortunate and I don't want to come this board everyday hearing Hallmark sucks it did this and that and this part was edited out. Boy I wish they could drop Hallmark from your lineup and we'd see how you'd feel.

I didn't direct the sucks thing to you. It's towards other people. I'm merely stating that now everytime I come to this board, everyone is always getting mad for Hallmark's editing or commerical breaks.Isn't the most important part that it's airing at all? And I don't mind if you do tape trading. Some of us don't trust in giving people we met over the internet personal information. You could trade all you want but a lot of us don't do that.

Ha! That is so much easier than you make it sound. To begin with, it's hard to know who you can and can not trust over the internet. Secondly, I've yet to find anyone out there willing to record all 209 episodes and send them to me. That's just a lot of trouble.





As for editing that particular scene-that stinks. I loved that line. Did they alos edit the part where Tootie goes back to the girl in the cell and says something to her? I've always wanted to see that scene.

As for the way The Hallmark Channel edits FOL, it was alright for season one, they only cut out boring scenes, and added funnier ones that N@N left out. But, so far with the second season, it's not that great. The scene where Tootie says her parents were gonna disown her was the part I was anticipating the most! But, They didn't show it. I'm still a little mad. Oh, and I'm mad that when I decide to record Reba, they put a big Thunder storm warning on the left hand of the screen for the whole show! And, I doubt that they'll ever air the pilot again! Well, I'll stop talking about that...

I am not unhap[py. I'm just glad to see FOL up and runing on tv at all. Like I said, I could have a lot of edits for I care. At least I get to see it.

I liked the editing for the 1st season. And, the second season is alright, but The New Girl P.2 wasn't that good to me, when they cut that part with Tootie. That was my favorite scene of that episode, it made me laugh SO hard. I wish they'd leave it in.

It is interesting to now see the scenes that N@N had cut. I'm glad we got to see the "so long, turkey" part.

I have a feeling that if I don't have the episode on tape, I won't even notice the editing. I didn't have Double Standard on tape so I completely forgot about Jo's line - "And don't forget to put ketchup on it". I love that line but... oh well.

It's too bad they have to cut scenes when a show is in syndication. :( I don't think we will ever be happy with what they cut out because we love FOL. The bright side is that Hallmark edits differently so we can see some of the stuff N@N cut out.:)

Actually, the part in German is "I am very hungry!" and the rest of it is in Finnish: "Great (or big) mayonaise sandwich! Goodbye! (or See ya!)" Which meant that it was getting close to lunch.:liplick:

Its only closely related language is Estonian, though it is distantly related to Hungarian, though it diverged from that over a thousand years ago. Though Finnish is the principle language of Finland, Swedish is spoken in many parts of the country. The language is very complex with many different noun cases, etc. But if you were to travel to Helsinki next week, you would no doubt find many people who speak English.

Do I know how to speak it?? Uhhh.....not fluently. I do have some books on how to speak it. I was writing to a girl in Finland 20 years ago and that's how I got interested in it. It's interesting,
but it takes a while to grasp. Most people haven't heard it unless you live in communities with Finnish populations like in Minnesota
(which resembles Finland because of its many lakes).
