For those who don't know, back in 1990 (https://tuneintonight.wordpress.com/2017/05/03/working-girl-1990/), a then unknown Sandra Bullock (https://medium.com/@brianrowe_70270/the-sandra-bullock-files-6-working-girl-1990-6a42b4a567c8) starred in a short-lived (https://weminoredinfilm.com/2014/04/21/one-and-done-12-famous-films-which-yielded-short-lived-tv-shows/comment-page-1/) sitcom (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_Girl_(TV_series)) for NBC (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:84-zkRoc_HEJ:https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1990-04-16-ca-956-story.html+&cd=13&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) based on the film Working Girl with Melanie Griffith. The role (https://ew.com/article/1990/04/27/working-girl/) of Tess McGill was originally meant for (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:jp3QnwS6lt0J:https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-xpm-1989-04-23-8904235256-story.html+&cd=94&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) Nancy McKeon. I'm assuming that this was meant to be her big post-Facts of Life starring vehicle but she abruptly bowed out (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:2SG_qEUnt3AJ:https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1990/04/16/bad-day-at-the-office/6afa1f04-ee8e-4b38-a5e6-c85b745fd6f6/+&cd=17&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) for "personal reasons" (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:w_p8m5B7qQgJ:https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1989-10-04-ca-421-story.html+&cd=19&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us).

Not much was mentioned then, but she did lots of TV movies at the time.

I heard in an interview where Nancy said she turned down lots of roles because of her personal life and schedule. She did not mean that she has bad stuff going on in life, but rather just wanted to be a more regular person. Seeing how she live on a ranch for 15+ years while raising her family proved this. She has said that she was in show business since the age of 2, so perhaps she needed breaks at times. It seems she has done quite well for herself and her family.

I know among the post-FOL acting gigs that she was up for (https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a595250/friends-who-almost-starred-in-us-tvs-biggest-ever-sitcom/), she was a serious candidate (https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/a-the-facts-of-life-star-was-seriously-considered-for-a-role-on-friends.html/) for what would be (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monica_Geller) Courteney Cox's role (https://www.hollywood.com/tv/actors-you-didnt-know-almost-starred-in-friends-60423353/#/ms-22519/10) on Friends (https://screencrush.com/friends-different/). Nancy did one year after Friends premiered, star (https://variety.com/1995/tv/reviews/can-t-hurry-love-1200442894/) in this sitcom (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:l9TL7u4bBisJ:https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-1995-09-13-1995256172-story.html+&cd=9&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) for CBS called Can't Hurry Love (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:l9TL7u4bBisJ:https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-1995-09-13-1995256172-story.html+&cd=9&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) (alongside a pre-SVU Mariska Hargitay), but it only lasted for a single season. And she later had a recurring role as Demi Lovato's mom on Sonny with a Chance on the Disney Channel.
