I found a movie called Fly Away Home in my movie box and I remember when it first came out I was enchanted by it and was curious about it but never got around to renting it. So I bought it at Walmart and fell in love with the cute story about the girl who raised orphaned geese and taught them to fly which was based on an actual true story. Fly Away Home stars a young Anna Paquin of True Blood and Jeff Daniels and features a song by Mary Chapin Carpenter

It's hard to believe that you can't find decent family movies like Fly Away Home today and it's hard to believe that Fly Away Home made Anna Paquin a huge upcoming child star in Hollywood and Jeff Daniels was superb in this movie considering he's best known for comedies but Fly Away Home he shined as a loving father. I remember first hearing about Fly Away Home and thought the story was lovely and Anna Paquin's character never gave up trying to get those geese to fly
