It is strange but think about it. If they had a young handsome guy, there would be no chance of him being interested in a giant, older, manly woman.
The guy was older on purpose to make it a little more likely that he would be interested in Jack in drag

That makes sense, the excuse can always be his vision isn;t as good since he is up in age.

It was a blind date also so Chrissy didn't know what Walter Nestle looked like, I think she mentions he's an out of town client or something.

Well she was stupid for real for wanting to still go out with him and got mad when he had more interest in Jack:lol:

I would’ve been disgusted instead of mad. How do you get so turned on by Jack, who’s wearing high hills, earrings, lipstick, makeup, a bra, and a dress? You could clearly see how masculine and androgynous Jack looked. It would’ve been even more disgusting if Walter was young, tall, and strong.

This episode aired last week and this thread jumped out at me. It is perfectly explained why Chrissy went out with this old man. Within the first minute of the episode, Chrissy comes home and complains to Janet that he boss asked her to go out with some old company guy that is coming to town and show him around. This gets lost because then the FBI knocks on the door and then its all about Jack.

Walter preferring Jack-in-drag ==> old age vision problems  .

Chrissy getting jealous ==> cattiness, or just not caring about looks (like when she wanted to hang out with the character played by Barry Gordon).

This episode makes me think about my shyness on dates when Chrissy said

"This is the first time a guy wanted to be with me instead him wanting me to be with him if you know what I mean"

I am known for never making any kind of move on a 1st date due to shyness but it made me realize that its supposed to be the norm since the ultimate goal is sex

Would just like to add... not everyone is into the same thing, nor attracted to the same thing. Some ppl are into men who crossdress... some ppl are into trans women, some ppl like tall, manly women, etc... Not everyone has to like the same thing. There are even young women like Chrissy who are into older men.

But as far as Jack still looking masculine, yeah that's how it seems to work on TV... All a man has to do is put on a wig and dress and EVERYONE seems to read him as a woman. Just like when he dressed as the older woman to win the cooking contest, everyone just bought he was an old woman... and like when Mr. Tanner on Full house dressed as a woman, everyone just bought it. Where as in real life, a transgender woman can have full surgery, facial surgery, on hormones and often times ppl still read her a "really a man".

If only real life worked like on TV
