In 1983 Era Laundry Detergent introduced Era Plus which was supposedly better than the original Era and with it's awesome commercial it might have helped sold a lot of Era Plus. With music sounding like the PBS Newshour theme the commercial showed how Era Plus REALLY worked to get rid of tough stains without any trouble. Era is still sold today but Era Plus no longer exists. You know, when you look at it the commercials for laundry detergent were so awesome and would teach you how the product worked and that's something that cleaning product commercials today lack

Hi, Bestie! I remember those commercials. Era Plus was probably relabeled Era. I tried Era once and it was pretty good but not as good as Tide.
