Last night (7/9) on Lifetime was the two-parter where Pres. George Bush (the 1st one) came to visit. There were lots of flashbacks to previous episodes and "memories."

What other memory shows were there?

I know there was:

The President pays a visit...
The Valentine's Day episode...
The episode where they have 2 weeks to lose weight for a pool party...

I know there were more, but what were they?

One of my favorites was the Mother's Day episode.
Dorothy has to ask Stan's mother for money, Rose meets an elderly woman at a train station, Blanche goes to see her mother in a convelesent (sp) home and I'm not sure, but I think Sophia's flashback was about her mother (played by Dorothy) and she's a mean old lady in a wheelchair (Sophia, come close...slap!)

One memory episode is when the girls watched "Psycho" and they thought back
to when they first became roommates.

Another one is when Sophia announces that she is moving in with her son, Phil and
his wife, Angela.

Just remembered another, when Sophia was
selling Blanche's house which wasn't even up for sale.

man... there were LOTS of them!!!!

The one where they go to a psychiatrist because they can't get along....That's probably my favorite memory episode. Second would be the Valentine's day one...."Condoms Rose, condoms, condoms, condoms"

There certainly were quite a few of "memory" episodes, probably at least one per season. I think most television shows did this to save on money and time!!! :D

Actually though, a lot of Golden Girl memory episodes were actually new episodes. I think there is probably 3 or 4 memory episodes where they actually look back on clips of past episodes. The rest are brand new material.....Well when they aired on NBC there were...lol... Ha I kill me.

Here are "all" the memory/flashback episodes, in order.

1) The Way We Met: The girls watched "Psycho" and recalled how they became

2) Bedtime Story: Apparently many relatives were coming for a visit. They
recalled times they've had to share a bed, strange places they've slept, including a train station.
3) A Piece Of Cake: They were supposedly having a birthday for a friend, but it was a surprise birthday party for Blanche. They recalled past B-Days.
4) One For The Money: When Sophia has a get rich scheme, they recall other various get rich schemes, including a dance marathon.
5) Three On A Couch: The women seek help from a therapist.
6) Golden Moments: Sophia announces that she is moving in with her son, Phil. They recall past times with each other.
7) Mother's Day: While waiting for phone calls from their children, they recall past Mother's days'.
8) Valentine's Day: Supposedly the womens' dates cancel. They recall past
Valentine's days'.
9) Rites Of Spring: The women try to lose weight and recall past times they attempted to improve their looks.
10) We're Outta Here: Sophia supposedly is selling the house. They look back at all the times they've shared while living in the house.
11) The President's Coming! The President's Coming!: The president comes to their front door and the women discuss the times they have spent together.
12) Never Yell Fire In A Crowded Retirement Home: Sophia is accused of starting the fire at Shady Pines. (Not sure if they reminisced in the 1st half, but they did reminisce in the 2nd half).
13) Dateline:Miami: Dorothy is the only one that has a date on Saturday night. The other women reminisce about some of their worst dates.

I wish they'd air some memory episodes...

I think that in the 3rd and 4th season, GG overdid it, with memory episodes.

That's my biggest beef with the show, lazy writing.

I don't mind some memory episodes, mainly in seasons where there are only 1 or 2 of them.

I'm not sure which episode this was but Dorothy and Sophia had to sleep in the same bed because a guest was visiting.

Dorothy: "Goodnite Ma."
Sophia: "Goodnite pussycat"
Sophia: "Pussycat, do you have a lozenge?" ( or soemthing to that effect)

Dorothy: "No Ma"
Sophia: " A coughdrop?"
Dorothy: " Does it say K-mart on the back of my nightgown?"
Sophia: "Yeah, actually it does. You big cheapskate"


That might not have been the exact wording but pretty close. Does anyone know which episode that was?

I guess it was from the "birthday" episode, but it was Rose's memory where she bakes herself a birthday cake in St. Olaf and tells Charlie's spirit that she was selling the house and it was time for her to get on with life without him. Truly one of the most touching scenes in the whole series, it was poignant when Rose said, "Don't forget, I get the piece with the rose on it" as she cut her cake.

Also liked the one where Rose meets the old lady in the train station who ran away fom her nursing home to visit her daughter's grave. It was so sweet of Rose to cover up or her and pretend to eher daughter when the police came looking for her.

Another "memory" episode was when Blanche was thinking about selling her house.....I think that was a 2 parter too.
