In the 80's Popeye was featured in a series of commercials for Quaker Oatmeal and featured Popeye in cartoon mode having a series of adventures. Also to go along with the commercials Quaker released a set of comic books featuring Popeye that could ordered by mail. These Popeye commercials are probably well known by Popeye fans for having a parrot who was best known for the phrase "Popeye Want-A Quaker" but it was a good choice for Quaker to team up with Popeye to help market Quaker Oatmeal
