Star Trek: The Next Generation made Sir Patrick Stewart a star. Prior to being cast as the captain of the Enterprise, Stewart was a theater actor with several movie credits, but not remotely a household name. The show was ended in hopes that the cast could transition to the big screen picking up the Star Trek franchise where the original cast left off. It was a bit of a gamble so to hedge their bets Paramount brought along a few classic Trek castmembers for Generations. In this profile from the November 1994 issue of Movieline magazine, Stewart discussed his big screen future.
