One of the memorable running gags of Green Acres was Lisa's inept cooking. She made what she called "hotscakes" which Oliver used to fix a tractor and Fred Ziffel had them serve as shingles for his roof. Anyone remember her incompetent culinary prowess?

I always wondered HOW you made coffee like Lisa and I think Elly Mae made it like that too, where it looks like thick chocolate syrup, would you just add a LOT of coffee?

yup - Lisa's used a coffee can to cut out round Hot Cakes and the left over Hot Cake (the shape of the rectangular grill with round holes punched out) was used as a Head Gasket on the tractor - I still laugh thinking about it !
