We've discussed how there were no clips of Belle in the finale, but I also remember there were no clips of Marie either.... I mean she was a pretty semi-major character to the show at one point, during the late Flo, Belle, and early Jolene era

She was Mel's semi steady gf for a while... Seems she was in more than just 9 episodes. She filled in for Flo briefly before Belle arrived in that episode. She was even credited once as the VERY BRIEF 3rd waitress on an IMDB forum.

I'm just saying there were ppl WAY LESS important than her, random customers than only appeared ONCE that got a clip

I always liked the Marie character. Wish they had kept her on as Mels girlfriend.

Mel mentioned Marie in episodes up through the early part of the eight season (not sure about thereafter, as I'm catching up on those older shows on Antenna TV).

I like when the waitresses are at the cabin and Mel and Marie show up. Marie's telling Mel, "Kiss my eyes, kiss my..." this or that, and then Flo nonchalantly- as opposed to her usual loud/boisterous way -says, "Kiss my grits." :lol:

Yes that one was good! lol And I'd forgotten that Mel mentioned her that late in the series, so I guess they were still dating off-screen

I purchased (mostly with a promo credit, I think) the final episode from Amazon Video. I imagine the Antenna TV airings edit some things out, so I'm looking forward to seeing it "uncut." I have yet to get any of the season DVDs, though I plan on getting the first four at the least. I currently have the Flo DVD set.

I used to watch them on E! and yeah there are more scenes on the discs

More Marie mentions from Mel in the middle of the eighth season. :)
