The pearl necklace Ward gave June was actually a shock collar for when she got out of line.

Maybe Ward had his stash of porn magazines in the den and retreated in there if June said " Not tonight dear, I have a headache" !!:crazy::lol::D

So that's why he put a lock on the sliding doors...

That’s right you could lock those doors! I’m really surprised that Ward would let Larry and Beaver be in his den and lock the doors and not question ‘what are you doing in my den.’ Leave my magazines alone. (Ward’s Baseball)

Wonder if June ever discovered some of Ward's secrets while she was cleaning the den.

If they were there, she'd find them. She was the ultimate snoop!

And don't throw it in the trash--she looks there too. I'd say buy a shredder.

Did paper shredders even exist in the 1960s? The first time I'd heard of one was during the Iran Contra hearings in the late 1980s.

I thought they did but I'm not sure--certainly no widespread identity theft back then. Anyone know for sure?

I worked in a bank starting in 1974, and back then they shredded big garbage bags full of computer print-out paper from their main computer room, probably 5 "extra-extra-large bags per week.

I don't recall seeing personal sized shredders until the 1980s

June found one of Ms Landers' monogrammed hankies in Ward's den.
