I did not realize Hal Linden and William Shatner were practically age twins, they both turned 90 this past week. William Shatner might be more well known as Star Trek's original captain. But Hal Linden certainly made his mark as Barney Miller's titular character. I definitely prefer Hal. Star Trek TOS is ok, but I have always preferred Deep Space Nine, The Next Generation, and the Seven of Nine era on Voyager. Plus Bill's acting choices post Trek have been questionable, no one needed Bleep My Dad Says. Hal has guest starred on various other shows, his Touched by an Angel appearance was good.

I like Hal Linden slightly more then William Shatner.

Shatner is and forever shall be an unforgettable TV legend throughout the universe!

I'm sure Hal Linden is the nicer guy but I love Star Trek so it's Shatner by a parsec.
