Is it just me or is it that every season Eastland Academy gets a new headmaster. If this happened to a real school that school would be out of business. First in the pilot or Diff'rent Strokes episode 24 you have Mr. Crocket or the Crock. Then in the first season you have Mr. Bradley. Second season Mr. Harris. Third season Mr. Parker. Then in the finale episode you have another headmaster who quits and replaced by Blair. The headmaster position is like the Yankees managers in the 80's.

On another note, the actor who played Mr. Crocket also played Bob's patient Mr. Carlin on the Bob Newhart show. Though I haven't seen the last episode in a long time, I am pretty sure the actor who plays the headmaster who quits in the last episode played another one of Bob's patients Mr. Herd on the Bob Newhart show. If I am correct Eastland has a headmaster circle that begins and ends with one of Bob Hartley's patient.

I always wondered why they didn't keep Mr. Bradley around as an occasional character, as they did with some of the other first-season cast members who were let go. Maybe they wanted to, and John Lawlor turned them down. Mr. Parker seemed to hang around the longest -- even turning up in the fifth season after they moved the show to Edna's Edibles. Too bad they didn't get him to return for the finale -- it would have been nice continuity.
